This locum tenens position offers a temporary commitment from September to December 2024, allowing you to contribute your expertise during a crucial timeframe.

What You'll Do:
- Provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care, including:
- Inpatient rounding for established obstetrical and gynecological patients.
- Clinic coverage for scheduled appointments.
- Emergency department consultations for obstetrical and gynecological needs.
- Manage a patient load averaging 2 inpatients and 2 outpatients per day.
- Perform a variety of procedures, including:
- Low-risk pregnancy management and fetal heart rate interpretation.
- Ultrasounds, amniocentesis, routine and complicated deliveries.
- VBAC deliveries (vaginal birth after cesarean section).
- Repair of lacerations (3rd and 4th degree).
- In-office procedures such as IUD placement, colposcopy, LEEP (loop electrosurgical excision procedure), cryosurgery, and minor gynecological procedures.
- Operative procedures for ectopic pregnancy, ovarian removal, cystectomy, and laparoscopic ovarian ablations (LOAs).
- Document all patient interactions, diagnoses, treatment plans, and interventions thoroughly and efficiently within the Cerner electronic medical records system.
Who You Are:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology (required).
- Current and active license to practice medicine in Michigan (required).
- ATLS certification (required).
- A commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care within a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills to work effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
